Posted - Jun 20 2009 : 06:18:14 I have made several slideshows with Pixplay by now, and have a question about adding music. I have the Media edition of Windows, and have quite a few songs I have converted to Mp3 and used those in previous slideshows. What I am confused about is this...Why don't those songs I have used before always show up when I go to browse to add music files to a slideshow? I haven't changed them, yet certain songs I have used before are not always there. It must have something to do with the Media center library, but I can't figure out why some songs always remain in that list, while others I have to go back and search for, or convert to MP3 all over again to be able to add to my slideshow.

DVD PixPlay is only displaying what it finds in the browsed folder with the extension MP3 or WAV. I can't really imagine what Windows Media Player might do that would make it appear at one time and not at another (assuming it has not been deleted).
Regarding the squeal, are you using a recent version?
If so, try specifying the highest quality encoding option (using the Alternate encoder) on Step 3 of the "Burn Disk" wizard? You might also try going into View>Options, Advanced and changing the DVD MPEG Audio Setting.

Posted - Jun 21 2009 : 06:23:17 That's the confusing part...I'm sure they have been there before in the correct format because I used them in other slideshows. Why they don't stay there in my list of songs is what confuses me. I'll try saving a copy in a separate file like Jim said, and try it that way.
And what would cause a short squeal in a slideshow? I have made several, and once in a while there is an unpleasant sound that happens. It doesn't happen while the same song is played either. |

Posted - Jun 21 2009 : 03:04:18 Hi Bettei
Are you sure the files are in MP3 format, and not something else like WMA?
If you are browsing the correct folder the only reason a file should not be displayed is if it is not MP3 or WAV, or it is marked as a hidden file in Windows Explorer.

You should save your MP3 files in the following folder if you want to use them again in DVD Pixplay
C:\Program Files\DVD PixPlay\Music
