I would like to be able to sepcify that particular music is associated with specific slides, i.e. "Track 1" with photos 1 - 36, "Track 2" with photos 37-50, etc. Is this possible?

Hi Whale Watcher
How about inserting some ClipArts or, Houmorus, text bubles ect,
Devide your show into, imaginary, themes (Scenes) and arrange your pictures according to the theme (scene) association without botherring about "the Order" they were photografed. after a time nobody remembers the sequence and EVERYBODY is concentrated on the show. Another thing a piece of advise: "DO NOT keep bad pictures: if Uncle Ed has its head "cuttoff" but the background is the "Taj-Mahal" get rid of the picture anyway. Bad pictures leave a bad impretion.
Well you probably know all that allready.
Best Regards
Eliezer

Thanks JIMD, that's the approach I've tried - increasing the display time of slides to fit the duration of the music but it means slides are displayed for rather a long time so I may resort to editing the length of the music.

Hi Whale Watcher
Increasing the display time is, in my opinion, the prefered way
since shortening the music can end up in truncated music parts which,to my taste, is verry annoying.
However arranging the music to "support the sceens" adds interest to the show leaving longer display times "un noticed" if, in addition you add "movement" to your slides, such as "Zooming" or other options the program offers, is even more effective.I myself use these techics with success.
Best Regards

Hi Eliezer
Thanks for your help. I understand what you're saying but have ended up with photos displaying for 12 to 13 seconds, perhaps I should add more photos or find an alternative piece of music!

WHALE WATCHER

You can not directly specify music for a particlular group of slides, but you can select the music you want and then adjust the slides to fit the music. For example if your music was three minutes long and you wanted that associated with your slides 1-36 then you woud set the time on each slide to 5 seconds. (5 x 36= 180seconds or 3 minutes)

Or you could use an audio editor to adjust your music to fit the slideshow.
