Posted - Feb 28 2009 : 16:55:46 I have a HP pavillion 742 that has two CD drives, both have now failed. Would it be possible to use a USB external CDROM? I replaced one of the internal drives, but it would not configure. Possible problem with motherboard, would this stop an external drive from performing?

Hi Highland
Are you able to burn to the external CD drive with any other program?
