1. Motion Effects are now available to add interest to your slideshows
2. Now supports one-click camera acquisition: Once Smart Pix knows your preferred settings it can retrieve all of the photos from a camera with a single click
3. Many improvements to the Camera/Scanner Acquisition Wizard including more powerful naming options and maintaining of all preferred settings
4. Various improvements to the Slideshow Disk Creation wizard including support for motion effects and optional buttons for printing, launching a web page or sending an email
5. Adobe Photoshop PSD images (single and multi-layer) are now supported for loading and saving
6. New advanced batch renaming options including appending of seconds, changing of date order and inclusion of the original filename
7. Much faster in various areas due to powerful caching functionality and optimized image loading
8. Can now view and capture all frames of WMV, AVI and MPEG videos even if very large
9. Now favorites file lists can be saved as text files or relative link lists
10. Support is now included for many more EXIF fields including GPS Latitude and Longitude
11. Automatic display of the embedded IPTC description if a custom description has not been assigned
12. Added support for RAW formats from many newer cameras and less common TIFF formats
13. The File Information dialog can now be resized (and its size is remembered)
14. When hovering the mouse over a file thumbnail full details on the file are displayed
15. Various styling improvements particularly under Windows XP

 

Changes in v11.1

  • Fixed: Slow parsing of big folders due to always reading EXIF date
  • Fixed: View video frames option may be disabled if Simplified UI option is enabled
  • Added: Text captions also display when using the multiview option
  • Fixed: Some issues editing pages of TIFF files
  • Added: Some stylistic improvements
  • Changed: Mouse wheel always scrolls the current control. If no scrollable control is focused the mouse wheel setting under Tools > Options, Other determines whether the wheel navigates the file list or zooms the image
  • Added: Shift key inverts the mouse wheel function
  • Changed: Updated Help file
  • Added: Added support for newer camera RAW formats
  • Fixed: File info dialog may not clear when adding new information

 

Changes in v11.2

  • Changed: No longer shows IPTC warning for non-JPEG and TIFF files when exporting keywords and descriptions
  • Fixed: In rare situation JPEGs with certain EXIF fields can be corrupted when saved
  • Fixed: Slideshow interval display issue when using long display times

  • Added: Can now use multimedia control keys to navigate files
  • Added: Manual and automated checking for updates
  • Added: Some performance optimizations
  • Fixed: May get an error when exporting keywords and descriptions to IPTC
