Greetings!

I am working on a telehealth application and looking for a reliable backend platform to get server-side services, including database, hosting, authentication etc. I was about to go with Firebase, but then I found all products of Firebase, especially authentication is not HIPAA compliant. It made me very disappointed.

Then after reading this article https://blog.back4app.com/hipaa-backend-as-a-service/ I decided to choose Back4App. It basically relies on the infrastructure of AWS and promises to protect PHI data. It also owns data centres in the United States which could be a good thing to avoid data disasters.

However, in case we want a few free backend functions, which other platform you guys will recommend? Also, what are your thoughts about using Back4App and Firebase?

Share your thoughts.
