In the past we have used our own server to send out our emails however we recently switched hosts and the new host doesn't allow bulk sending. Can you please explain the difference between using Amazon SES and using the MLK server? I don't know which one would be best for our purposes. Thank you.
Amazon SES is a mail sending service (equivalent to a mail server of your SMTP). It is a very cost effective sending solution.
MLK's mail server is built into MLK, so it runs from your own system, so there are no costs associated with its usage, and its only limits are those of your network and system.
However some mail servers will block messages that they recognize as originating from a local mail server, so to reach all your recipients you would need to use one of the automatic options that sends failed messages via a different method.
