Nigel just wanted to say thanks for MLK. I’ve been using it to manage mailing list for non-profit groups and student mailing list. It’s been working beautifully. I just setup the auto reply based on subscribing/unsubscribing to a specific group (the obvious way), but found another way using “Automatic Message Responding”. This got me thinking… It looks like I could have some send an email to my Mail List King server and subscribe (or unsubscribe) them using matching words in the subject or body of the email. Can you confirm?
And if these people subscribe/unsubscribe will they receive the automated message for the group as well as the message associated with the rule?
This also got me thinking is there a way I can add an attachment can I add an attachment to the group subscribe auto-sent message or rule message?
1. With an auto-responder it will always be subscribed if you have set the option to subscribe them (but there are other ways around this, such as after processing automatic responder messages in one folder, have them moved automatically to another folder for normal mailing list message processing).
2. Yes, they will also receive the group welcome message, if they are subscribed
3. Yes, attachments can be added to any messages sent by MLK
