Hi
I am using the unregistred version at the moment and it's great except for one thing. When making multiple slideshow I thought that a menu to allow viewers to choose a slideshow would be available.
But the menu I get initially is "root, video and audio TS"If I click on video ts the menu appears but is not "clickable".The slideshow plays in my dvd player but there is no control over where it starts and the various slideshows have merger into one.
Where am I going wrong?
Does the registered version cure this?
Regards
Derek

Hi Derek

If you want a menu you need to use File > Burn Multiple Slideshows.

Also, if you don't have DVD playing software on your computer then it won't autoplay. However almost all computers include such software so I am surprised it won't play automatically when you insert your disk.

Thanks Nigel
Yes I used "burn multiple slideshows" and made a menu.
The menu appears when I play dvd on dvd player but doesn't work!
I thought i should be able to click on one slideshow which would the play.when that finished it would go back to menu. This does't happen.
I've used dvd burner and the quality of the slideshow is very good--it's just that I've no control over which slideshow I can watch.Other dvd s I've made ,these were videos, start with a menu which you click whichever item you want to watch. I think i used nero but this doesn't seem to have a menu for slideshows.
Thats why I'm using your software
Help please!!
Derek

Hi Derek

So the menu displays correctly with a list of your slideshows, but selecting one of the slideshows does not play the correct one?

Also when it finishes it does not return to the menu?

Thanks Nigel
The menu displays correctly but I am unable to select a slideshow, I don't know if the menu should be "clickable" but in my case it isn't!The slideshow continues through all the shows and doesn't return to menu.
What baffles me is that initially when dvd is loaded into DVD player I don't get a menu as such. I get headings like "root" "audio_ts" and "video_ts" on the left of the screen and video 1 and 2 ( i am testing with just 2 shows)and audio on the right of the screen. If I click on video 1 I get "Unregistered version" if I click on Video 2 I get the menu "big sky" with the name of the project plus the names of the 2 shows but I can't click on the name of the show.
It will then play both shows without returning to the menu after the first show is finished.
Any ideas please?
Derek

Hi Derek

Your player is not recognizing the disk as a DVD video disk.

Please e-mail me your log file:

C:\Program Files\DVD PixPlay\PixPlayLog.txt

Note: On Windows Vista it is located at:

C:\Users\ <YOUR WINDOWS LOGIN NAME> \AppData\Local\Xequte\DVD PixPlay

Note: If you have Email Software you can do this quickly by selecting Help > Send Email to Support on the DVD PixPlay menu

Thanks Nigel
Have you had chance to examin the log files yet?
If you are right about my DVD player is the fault with the player, the program or is it me?
Ive tried several more times but still the same result.
It is also not possible to play the DVD player on my PC.
Unfortunately I don't have another DVD player to try

Hi Derek

Nothing in the log indicates any particular failures. Though please try using DVD-R or DVD+R instead DVD-RW SR disks.

Does it work if you burn a single project slideshow disk?

Everything looks fine in the log.

Here are some things you should try:
- Go into View > Options, Other, Advanced and change the DVD MPEG Audio Setting
- Use the option in DVD PixPlay to output the slideshow files to your hard disk and then burn them with your own burning software (in case DVD PixPlay has an incompatibility with your burner). Detailed instructions are available at:

I did reply to your last message but it doesn't seem to have been posted.
I've had some success! Burning a data disc using Nero worked.
I don't know what the problem is with the inbuilt burning program, I've used 2 different dvd burners with the same result.Maybe the problem is with my PC!
Incidentally I used the same DVD-RW disc in nero.
Anyway I have now registered my copy of Pixplay but havn't yet had a chance to see if the registered version is any different.
Thanks again for your help

Hi Derek

Nero probably has wider burner support than DVD PixPlay.

You might want to try v5.23 which has an updated burning library:
