I am running V8.56 using Windowsmail on WINVista. When MLK searches for incoming mails it fails although 4 messages are unread from the inbox.

Hi

It fails in what way? Do you get an error message?

Sorry for the incomplete description. It fails to find any mails. The inbox contains both mails to be forwarded to distribution lists as well as subscriptions to distribution lists. No error messages are displayed.

Windows Mail has been installed in Danish language and the inbox is called "Indbakke".

Hi

So I assume the messages to be forwarded match your member sending rules under View > Options, Member Sending. And your subscription messages have a valid command line (e.g. the subject "SUBSCRIBE").

I'll send you some debug logging info.

Hi Michael

Are you a bit overdue with your Windows Service Packs? You're getting an issue that should have been fixed in Vista SP1. You will need to update your system:

Unforunately yes. I have just received a new PC with Vista pre-installed and activated automatic updates through Windows Update. Updates arrive frequently so I expected everything to be fine.

Running Windows Update manually says that no further updates are available. In spite of this neither SP1 nor SP2 has been downloaded nor installed.

I have now manually downloaded and installed both servicepacks and MLK behaves perfectly.

I am very sorry for the inconcenience.

Thanks a lot for your assistance.
