I have a list of people that I'd like to add manually. But when I test with one name, and check "Send acknowledgment messages" and "Require contacts to confirm via email," that person doesn't get any e-mail at all. I've tried a couple of times.

Hi Ellen

What version are you using?

Does the acknowledgement task appear under the "Automated Emails" mode of the main window?

What are the two sending methods specified under View > Options, Sending?

Nigel,

I'm using 8.55R.
No, the acknowledgment task isn't there. All I see there are my delayed message that are due to go out.
My sending methods are both SMTP (via your ISP's mail server)

Nigel,

I tried it again and it worked, so I'll keep your instructions and send you the log file if I have the problem again. Thanks,

Ellen
