When I "check for new" from MLK I get a warning "windows cannot locate your MAPI email software". I am running MLK version 8.05 and Thunderbird version 2.0.0.19 under Windows XP "Internet Options" in the control panel shows Thunderbird is set as the default email client. Until recently I have been able to check messages from Thunderbird with MLK without any problem. Possibly the problem has followed an upgrade of either Thunderbird of MLK, but I can't be sure of this
The error you are getting indicates Windows can't find your MAPI client, generally because it has not been installed correctly. You should try reinstalling Thunderbird.
