o creating a new title page using large jpegs - the jpegs are not shrunk to fit (I only see a portion of the pic - the top left corner) this happens no matter what mode is selected for the background (to fit, 25 % etc)
DVD created when viewed on a player or a PC o some pics are arbitrarily stretched vertically (distorted) o title pages with jpegs prevoiusly created and shrunk to fit using 3.35 are now black background (jpeg is lost) o music is interrupted (null) during some frame transitions

Hi Paul
> jpegs are not shrunk to fit
Can you give me the exact steps to reproduce this as we are not seeing it on our test machine. On the Title Frame, Background dialog you need to choose either the "Stretch" or "Center" options.
> title pages with jpegs prevoiusly created and shrunk to fit using 3.35 > are now black background
This is where you specified a background by selecting one of your own photos? It is possible that you will need to respecify the background with v4.0 because of the improved method for handling title frame backgrounds.
> some pics are arbitrarily stretched vertically > music is interrupted during some frame transitions
Is the slideshow you are viewing in DVD or PC format?

Well Nigel, these are mostly resolved.
1) 3.35 does resize title jpegs to fit. You can view them on the thumbnails and you can see them on preview but they are gone on edit or on the DVD. Obviously a 3.35 problem.
2) yes "center" works. Unfortunately "Help" is not much help. The browse for jpegs "fit, 25%->400%" is a bit misleading and the "center" surely is not explanatory.
3) I did select DVD format but the pics that seem stretched might be within the 10% limit set. I'm just a bit picky with distortion.
4) I suspect the music dropouts are due to my DVP-NS400D DVD player. I will be purchasing a new player to confirm this.
5) Lastly it appears that the function for music "align to frames" is no longer available. Is this correct ?

Hi Paul
1. v3.35 should always use the equivalent of v4's stretch option
2. Help does not break down the different background display types, but they are the same as the Windows' desktop wallpaper options so most users should be familiar with them.
I can't find the "fit, 25%->400%" text you are referring to. Can you give me more detail?
3. Under View > Options, Other, Advanced, what is your setting for "Improve Aspect Ratio when displaying with DVD player"?
4. Try clicking the Test button (under File > Burn Slideshow) or playing the disk on your computer to confirm.
It may also help to go into View > Options, Advanced and change the DVD MPEG Audio Setting.
5. What version are you using? The feature was added in v4.05.

Nigel 1)3.35 is a dead issue now that I use 4.02
2)I was not aware of that and I use a wallpaper program not Windows. But now I know. The fit, 25%->400% is in the upper right hand corner of the Select a Texture File screen. It doesn't seem to affect picture jpegs in any way.
3)"Improve Aspect Ratio when displaying with DVD player" was not checked off. I will try that.
4) there are no problems with audio using the produced DVD on any PC. So I am assuming it's a DVD player problem.
5) I am using 4.02 which was the only available one at the time. I will update to 4.05 and with the help you provided I will create another DVD.

Hi Paul
The Fit/x% option only relates to the preview in that Window. Sorry for the confusion.
