Does anyone else have a hard time getting the burned DVD output to show the menus exactly as they look in the preview on the PC?

All my arrows aren't lined up and on one of my dvd players the arrows aren't even there?
I am using the Multiple Menu DVD setting (to be as compliant as possible) but not even one of my dvd players will show it correctly.

Thanks, Neal

Hi Neal

Does it happen even when you use the underline button?

What is in common with the menus that work vs. those that do not.

I am using the same prepared DVD burned from the program in all players, none of them work correctly, one dvd player drops them one space below each appropriate header and the other two don't show the arrows at all.

and coincidentally, my main header is underlined but there is no difference between that one and the the others without the underline..

Just did another demo to try and correct my cropping issues. redid the menu, reconfirmed all the links, underlined them all. On the DVD player, still NO arrows or navigation of the menu available, and when i play it on my computer (powerdvd) all the arrows are 1 line below the line they are supposed to be on.

Please help, if i cannot make a proper menu with this program, i may have to move on to another program that can, and I don't want to go that route unless i have to.

Hi Neal

I mean that for menu highlight you can choose various options including arrows, circles and underlines (right click the text and choose "DVD Button Style"). Have you tried using underlines?

I will try using underlines, as a work around, but that doesn't answer my question, i would like an answer regarding why they aren't working correctly?

Nope, the underline is still one whole line below the item being chosen to play from the menu, and they only show (in the wrong locataion) if i am viewing on the computer.
On the DVD players, they don't show at all.

I am on a strict deadline that is in less than 10 days. Please get back to me with a solution.

Please get back to me when you can, Thank you.

I just redid the whole menu slide, started from scratch, a blank canvas, retyped in headers, put in new background.

The result......... exactly the same "the underline is still one whole line below the item being chosen to play from the menu, and they (underlines) only show (in the wrong locataion) if i am viewing on the computer.
On the DVD players, they don't show at all." so when you hit play you don't know what of the 8 items you are gonna get..

Hi Neal

If you go to C:\My Documents\DVD PixPlay Projects (or the equivalent location on your computer) there will be a file and folder for your current project. Please put the file and the contents of the folder (excluding any images or videos) and email them to me for analysis.

Reduce the height of your text box and this will reduce the space between the underline and the text. You could also change the font to a smaller one and that would change the spaceing too.

Thank you but i don't think you undertsnad, the text boxes are currently the exact size of the text that is inside them, and the underline link shows up a full carraige return outside of the box, looks great in the Customise menu view, but the burn't result is flawed...everytime. I have recreated it from scratch 4 times now..

Any more suggestions?

If you use one of the Pre-designed Templates like "Big Sky" and make NO CHANGES --does in play correctly on your DVD player?

If I were you, I would follow Nigel"s suggestion to

"If you go to C:\My Documents\DVD PixPlay Projects (or the equivalent location on your computer) there will be a file and folder for your current project. Please put the file and the contents of the folder (excluding any images or videos) and email them to Nigel for analysis."

In the mean time I would use the Windows Remove Program to remove DVD PIXPLAY and than re-install the program in case you have any corrupt files in the program. There has been few cases of the Menu failing to work correctly. Nigel if he can not fix it for you ---will certainly refund your money.

Hi Neal

Under View > Options, Other, Advanced have you enabled the Borders option?

We've fixed a bug for v4.03 (ready next week) that can cause menu buttons to be offset if borders are used.

Hi Neal

Can we please try again with your sending me an example project that reproduces the issue. Ideally it will be as simple a project as possible that consistently fails.

What size TV screen are you showing the slideshow on ---Widescreen or Standard?

On the MULTIPLE SLIDESHOW PROJECT SCREEN
1. SELECT OPTIONS
2. TV FORMAT
3. MAKE THE CHOICE
STANDARD(4:3)
WIDESCREEN (16;9)

This would effect how the menu is displayed.
