You have me confused---I thought Power Director was a program to convert video and audio into a DVD. If you look at the disc in Windows Explorer--what files and extensions are there? What file extension are you trying to convert to and what file from?
Hi Jim I created a movie using Cyberlink Power Director v6 which saved my final rendition as a .pds file (this was the only option). I am now trying to add this to a slideshow using the recommended .avi format but cannot seem to be able to convert the .pds file or find a suitable converter. I believe that there is also some procedure to follow regarding the audio portion - perhaps you could also bring me up to date on that aspect, thanks Regards Hugh
Since this is not a DVD PIXPLAY problem, I would recommend that you try the Cyberlink website.
You could try the following conversion site which will try to automatically detect your video format and if it does than you can convert it to the format you want.
Jim Success at last! I found out that the file was only being saved in "edit" format as a .pds file. I needed to take it one step further and produce it as a .divx (.avi) file and I inserted it into my show and it works fine. This may help someone else if they ever run into a similar problem. Thanks again Hugh
