I had success in burning and playing my American Vacation VCD slideshow, MPEGAV folder 670 MB. Later I spent several days working on my trip to the WW1 battlefields in France slideshow, where the preview was ok, it burned successfully but did NOT play, MPEGAV folder 378 MB. So I created an MPEG (mpg) file on the hard drive. This plays but there is no sound. I used several more features of PixPlay, such as placing text on some pictures, and many more title frames explaining the next batch of slides. Following my problem with sound synchronisation on my movies, I'm wondering whether I made the right decision to buy and use PixPlay. Can you help. Ian Foley

Presently DVD PixPlay can only use the sound track of the videos in a slideshow if there are no images except after the final video. So to hear the video soundtrack you will need to do as follows:
i. Select Edit>Other>Move Videos to Start ii. Select Edit>Select Background Music on the menu iii. On the dialog that is displayed choose the option to use the video soundtrack as the source of the slideshow sound (if you are presented with the usual background music dialog, rather than a window with the title "Video Soundtrack" then there are still images or title pages that are remaining in your project).
You say it does not play---is this on the computer or on a dvd player? Try downloading this free VCD Player from XEQUTE:

Regarding the sound sync --this is a program that is less than $50 US Dollars so if you think that it will give you professional movie quality SOUND SYNC than I suggest you ask for your money back. Sound problems are due to hundreds of factors such as computer speeds, memory, sound cards, video acceleration, codecs etc.
Most problems can be fixed if you read the HELP file. FROM MY EXPERIENCE ---THIS IS THE BEST AND ONE OF THE SIMPLEST TO LEARN DVD PROGRAM AVAILABLE FOR THIS PRICE. You should hang in there ---the learning curve is not long and the enjoyment is worth it.

Hi Ian
If you click the Test button in File>Burn Slideshow does the sound play there?
Have you tried using DVD format?
