Thanks for all the previous help.
I have a new challenge. I would like to use the DVD I have produced
for seminars. Instead of the images fading in and out and changing
automatically I would like to hit a forward button on my remote control when I am ready to change images.
Right now I have been doing pause and it is not working well. Either
I have to change the default delay time to a longer period or use
a whole new software package for presentation purposes. Otherwords I want to take my DVD and go into something like a Powerpoint presentation mode where I can take my own time to discuss an image.If Xecute can't do it that is fine(as I can't expect it do everything) but I just want to know so I can use something else for this purpose.
Immediate feedback is appreciated.

Manual navigation is available if you select the IMAGE FORMAT option to create a disk for computer playback.

Jim, I don't see that option. I looked in the Help Index and all
over the menus but naught. Can you tell me where that is located
precisely? |

1)From the Main Toolbar select BURN DISK
2)From the Format Box -Select IMAGE FORMAT
3)On Step 3 of Creation Wizard -Select under "Slideshow Options" the box "do not automatically advance slideshow
4)On Step 4 - Select save to file
5)Select Finish
6)Go to the saved file -Open the folder-Double click on the icon "PXP VIEWER"
7)ENJOY THE SHOW -YOU DECIDE WHEN YOU WANT THE SLIDE TO ADVANCE BY SELECTING THE NAVIGATIONAL BUTTONS

Well thats is a good piece of info.
When ever I make a show for some one else to talk with I have had enter into long discussion and edit sessions so that the dwell on indivdual 'slide' can be arranged to match the intended spiel- very time consuming- and not very satisfactory.
I have just made a show and tried it on two DVD players and it works fine.
All I have to do now is to take screen shots of the PixPlay format titles to make jpeg and let them in to the show, when ever they want to do it this way. |

Are we still saving to a DVD or are we now saving in a folder
on the computer?
Basically what I want to do is slip a DVD into any DVD player
and manually navigate( going back and forward with my own timing)
to each image. If I have to use a PC fine but I rather use the DVD.

This makes a file ON THE COMPUTER for playback on the COMPUTER.
If you want a DVD on step 4 select "COPY SLIDE SHOW TO A CD/DVD" then burn the slideshow. The DVD will play on a COMPUTER but will not play correctly on a DVD player

I see, what I want to do is use a DVD on a DVD player and have
control. That's not possible with Xecute then right? No problem just
like I said in my earlier message, I can't expect it do everything.
Or maybe I could increase the delay time and that would allow me
to use pause on the remote device. Or does it go in lala land
when you use pause?
BTW: Would you recommend somethings else? I want to get away from
having to drag my laptop to my seminars and then sweating bullets
of sweat trying to get it to work in front of an audience.

I do not use my slideshows for seminar purposes, but it would seem to me that most organiations would have large screen TV's or projectors that would alow you to connect a computer to their equipment. Since there are so many different DVD Players and DVD Disks out there I would rather use my own computer to present my seminar.
I am not aware of any programs out there that work as good as Xequte for this price.

Hi RKO
As Jim recommended, laptops are best for presentations because:
a) You can manually navigate the presentation
b) The quality of an image slideshow is better than a DVD format one
Of course there is also a DVD + Images format available so you can have both on the same disk and make your decision when you see what hardware is available 
Regarding manual navigation of DVD format slideshow:
1. Yes, you can pause each DVD image frame while you talk about
2. Alternatively you can have much longer display times and use the DVD chapter button to move to the next image
To clarify, if you do NOT set any DVD chapters for a project and there are less than 99 images in the project then DVD PixPlay will add set image as a new chapter, so using the |< and >| navigates the images in the slideshow
