I have posted this thread once already, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get the provided solution to work. My problem is that I still can't get members who sign up to the list to be added to the right group.
Under Options=>Web Form Submission I set the group field as Month: (below is a sample of how it looks in the message body section of MLK.)
-------------------------- Submission from your Web Site:
Email: john@somecompany.com Action: Subscribe Month: Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec Group_1,Group_2 First Name: John Last Name: Smith Before 1990: SomeCompany Flavor: 1234 Some St. Day: San Diego -----------------------
The subscriptions look like the following when they come in to me:
---------------- Web Form Submission:
CONTACT INFORMATION List Number: 377 First Name: John Last Name: Doe Email: Johndoe@jdoe.com Day: 2 Month: Jan Before 1990: yes Flavor: i like it all -------------------------
I would like to get this solved as soon as possible. Please tell me what changes need to be made, as when I add new members, they are added to the default group regardless of the month they have selected.
Thanks. |

Hi
There is no month field in the web submission. As you have set this as your group field and there is no group MLK is using the default group.
Check your web form and see why it is not requiring a month to be selected.

I'm not sure if this matters at all, but I think the Month field follows directly after the Day field. If you will notice in the 'Contact Information' section, it is 5 lines down.
Is there a problem with how this field is set up?
Thanks. |

Ah, yes, you are correct. It looks like a simple error (no linebreak) in the formmail script you are using. Ask your webmaster (or whoever created your script) to rectify it.
