i have set up mlk and outlook already, however, when i draft email in mlk and want to send via outlook, after i have pressed the send btn in mlk, it will automatically transfer the email to the draft box in outlook, i need to press the send btn in outlook in order to send the email. Is there anyway to send email directly from mlk to outlook?

thx in advance!

Hi Don

It's a strange quirk of Outlook that it puts Extended MAPI messages in the Drafts folder for sending rather than the normal Outbox. Outlook will still send it normally from there.

Alternatively under View>Options, Sending, Settings (in MLK) you can have MLK automatically trigger a send/receive in Outlook after it puts its messages there.

thanks and i can send via outlook now.

One more questions, the encoding field is not work while i send email via outlook rather than smtp, and i cant send my email in chinese, and the encoding option is not avaliable, even i have checked the outgoing options of the setting in outlook ( i have choose big5 since i have to send my email in traditional chinese). Every time i type chinese in the box, it turns "???". ~thanks in advance.

Hi Don

Encoding cannot be set when sending via Outlook. You need to use the SMTP sending option.
