Several mistakes can hinder your performance in the IELTS Listening section. Here are some common ones to avoid:

IELTS Exam Pattern

Not Reading Questions in Advance: The time you get before each section allows you to quickly read the questions. Not using this time wisely can result in missed answers.

Overlooking Keywords: Pay attention to keywords in the questions and focus on listening for them during the recording.

Not Checking Spelling: In short-answer questions, spelling mistakes can cost you marks. Always double-check your answers before submitting.

Missing Details: Don’t let a missed answer in one part of the test throw you off. Stay focused and move on quickly to avoid missing more answers.

Being Overconfident: Don’t assume you’ll get every answer right. Be sure to listen for specific details and review any questions you're unsure about.
