Our finance team keeps complaining about how messy our expense tracking is. I’ve been hearing about GL codes as a solution, but I’m not entirely sure how they actually work. Are they worth the effort to set up, or just more accounting jargon?

I’ve been there! GL codes make life so much easier. They help you organize transactions into clear categories and avoid mix-ups during audits. Setting them up takes some effort, but it’s a one-time thing that pays off big.

GL codes are worth every bit of time you put into them. They streamline expense tracking and reporting, making it super easy to analyze spending patterns. If you’re still not sold, take a look at this article. It breaks everything down, from why GL codes are important to practical steps for getting started. We followed the advice, and it’s made a huge difference in how our team tracks and reports expenses.
