Many people around the world prefer Google Chrome for web browsing because of its speed and easy-to-use features. However, no matter how efficient this app is, it is still susceptible to several technical issues. In some cases, Gmail does not load in Chrome on Windows 10. If this happens to you, don't worry because it is a quite common problem. Since you are not alone in this situation, many people have found several solutions that will fix the problem.

First of all…
You may be wondering, "Why won't Gmail load in Chrome?" Well, there are several reasons behind this and we will discuss them along with the solutions. However, before moving on to workarounds, you should do some preliminary troubleshooting. In most cases, Gmail starts loading correctly after performing the following steps:

Restart your computer and check if that resolves the issue.
Use another browser to see if the problem is isolated to Chrome.
Rename or delete Google Chrome in cache, then check if it loads.
Disable all extensions and then restart your browser. This will help you determine if any of them are preventing Gmail from loading in Chrome.
Make sure you have the latest version of Chrome. Click the gear icon and then select About Google Chrome. Doing this will open a new window listing the version number of your browser. Check if an update is available.

Solution 1: Open Gmail in a private window
It may seem strange, but some users claim that opening Gmail in a Chrome incognito window is an effective solution to the problem. To do that, you simply have to follow these instructions:

Launch Google Chrome.
Go to the top right area of the browser, then click the More icon, which looks like three vertically aligned dots.
Select New incognito window. A new window will appear.
Check if you can see the incognito icon in the top corner of the window.
You can also open an incognito window by pressing Ctrl+Shift+N on your keyboard.
Solution 2: Clear cookies and cache
Your browser may slow down because it is overloaded with cookies and cache. Consequently, Gmail will not load in Chrome on Windows 10. To fix this issue, you can follow the steps below:

Open Chrome on your computer.
Click the More icon in the upper right corner of the browser.
Select More tools and then click Clear browsing data.
Select a time range at the top. If you want to delete everything, choose All the time.
Check the boxes next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files."
Select Clear data.
