To convert an Exchange mailbox to a PST (Personal Storage Table) file manually, you can use the built-in features of Microsoft Outlook. Here are the steps to accomplish this:

Note: You will need to have full access and sufficient permissions to the Exchange mailbox you want to convert.

Open Microsoft Outlook: Ensure that you have Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer and your Exchange account is configured in Outlook.

Create a new PST file: In Outlook, go to "File" > "New" > "Outlook Data File" to create a new PST file. Choose the type of PST file you want to create (e.g., Outlook Data File for the current Outlook profile or 97-2002 Personal Folders File for compatibility with older versions of Outlook).

Add the new PST file to Outlook: Once the new PST file is created, it will appear in the Outlook navigation pane. You can rename it to a descriptive name if desired.

Grant Full Access to the Exchange mailbox: To perform the export, you need to grant Full Access permission to the user account you are using in Outlook. This can be done by an Exchange administrator in the Exchange Management Console or Exchange Admin Center.

Open the Exchange mailbox in Outlook: Close and reopen Outlook to ensure the Full Access permission is applied. Then, add the Exchange mailbox to your Outlook profile:

Outlook 2016/2019/365: Go to "File" > "Account Settings" > "Account Settings." In the Email tab, select your Exchange account and click "Change." Click on "More Settings" > "Advanced" tab > "Add" and type the name of the Exchange mailbox you want to convert. Click "OK" to close the windows.
Outlook 2013 or earlier: Go to "File" > "Account Settings" > "Account Settings." In the Email tab, click "New" and follow the prompts to add the Exchange mailbox.
Export the Exchange mailbox to the PST file:

Outlook 2016/2019/365: Go to "File" > "Open & Export" > "Import/Export." Choose "Export to a file" and click "Next." Select "Outlook Data File (.pst)" and click "Next." Choose the Exchange mailbox you added and select the folders you want to export. Select the new PST file as the destination and choose any additional options. Click "Finish" to start the export process.
Outlook 2013 or earlier: Go to "File" > "Open" > "Import." Select "Export to a file" and click "Next." Choose "Outlook Data File (.pst)" and click "Next." Select the Exchange mailbox you added and choose the folders to export. Select the new PST file as the destination and choose any additional options. Click "Finish" to start the export process.
Wait for the export process to complete: The time it takes to complete the export depends on the size of the Exchange mailbox and the speed of your computer and network. Ensure that you do not interrupt the process and let it complete.

Verify the PST file: Once the export process is finished, you can locate the PST file in the specified location. Open it in Outlook to verify that the mailbox data has been successfully exported.

Regards,
Peter
