Posted - Mar 10 2015 : 11:57:34 I have a series of delayed messages set up and it looks like they are not being sent. MLK tries to deliver them at the time indicated and then the scheduled time gets set back by 10 minutes. Eventually I am getting an error message, cannot connect if the messages actually make it to the outbox. However, if I send a test email the message is able to go out so that seems to be working. Any ideas what might be causing this issue and how to fix it?

Both sending methods should be calling the same delivery code, but I will investigate further to see if anything comes up.

Posted - Mar 13 2015 : 10:46:33 Hi Nigel, I only have one sending profile set up and it is for an Amazon SMTP. The box for "Use a different sending method...." is unchecked.
This is what I have found so far... 1. I open MLK 2. I add a member to a group and the welcome message and delayed messages are added to the queue. If I just let it run the welcome message and delayed messages appear in the Mailing List History as "error sending automated message to xxxxxx@abc.com, Not Connected." This continues to happen until I do the next step. 3. I then send a test message from File>Options>Sending Email>Edit sending profile>Send test email. 4. The next time a message is tried in the queue it gets sent successfully and everything appears to work. 5. If I close MLK and open it again I have to repeat step 3 to get it running again other wise I run into the same problem with the automated messages.
It seems to me there is a problem connecting to Amazon SMTP with the automated messages on the first email but once you send a test it someone remembers that authentication and is good from then on out.
Any idea if there is something in my settings causing this or does it seem to be a bug?

What is your sending method for automated messages under File > Options, Sending?
