Posted - Mar 20 2013 : 05:00:26 Dear Nigel, Our MLK DB (v11.21B R) is mainly populated with contacts within our Country, Italy, and therefore I customized the acknowledgment messages for Subscribe and Unsubscribe in Italian language.
Since we now have also some customers abroad I would like to have the option to send acknowledgment messages in English language depending on where the request to subscribe/unsubscribe comes from, manually or automatically. I don't want to create a separate database as well as separate groups because they all come from our Exchange 2007/Outlook 2003-2010 applications and the same Outlook Catagories are being used within MLK.
How would you suggest or recommend to do it? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Best regards |

It is automatically filled (if you do not fill it) using the Top Level Domain of the email address (e.g. set to Italian for .it email addresses).

Posted - Mar 25 2013 : 20:23:55 Hi
You should do this using the "Conditional Text" functionality within MLK. This is available by clicking "Personalize" on the message sending toolbar, then Conditional text.
It will look something like this:
%CONDITION:Language=Italian% Benvenuti nella mia mailing list %CONDITION:ELSE% Welcome to my mailing list %CONDITION:END%
