I need to be able to export MLK data that includes the Member ID. I don't see where it allows me to do that. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks!

Boyd

Yeah, it looks like MemberID isn't the best thing to use as an ascending code for the list.

If you sort the entries by insertion date, then the numbers should be increasing order. Presumably you deleted the contacts that are in the middle.

At any rate, trying to "predict" the next assigned ID is inherently risky, so you should handle this a different way, such as creating your own ID and assigning it to the member as a custom field, for example.

Well, I was hoping that, BUT, my last record is 16198, but the next one 16199 is from 2009. There is another series of 85800's and another of 98000's. It looks like when one series is done, it jumps to the next. I guess my question is--is THAT random?

Hi

The Member ID will always be one more than the last one.

How are the member IDs assigned? I noticed there are different number ranges. Is it random?

I'm hoping to predict the Member IDs so I can use them to automate coupon assignments for new customers.
