Posted - Jan 19 2011 : 17:06:52 Just wondering if there are specific settings needed to run Maillist king as a remote app on a Windows Server 2008 machine. I tried but ended up with the error messages below. It runs fine under a terminal server window.

Yes, it must be crashing before the program even executes. We don't have that setup available here for testing, but i will try researching the issue when we do the next update.

Posted - Mar 24 2011 : 07:09:19 I had tried several ways to get it to produce a debug log, even to the extent of installing it on our 32 bit server thinking that it may be a 64bit issue. I had the same results. It appears when trying to run MLK as a remote app it crashes before it produces a debug log. I also searched our server completely just in case it placed the log elseware with no luck locating one. Both machines I tried this on were windows server 2008 OS, both 64bit & 32bit.

It should still have generated a debug log though? Please check and send it to me.

Posted - Mar 22 2011 : 19:12:14 Hi
You can start it in debug mode as follows:
"C:\Program Files\MailList King\MLKing.exe" /DEBUG

Posted - Mar 22 2011 : 12:42:09 I have tried several ways to get MLK to run in debug mode as a remote app but the program crashes before it even starts in debug mode thus no debug information is available.
Running MLK as a remote app would be preferable because I could administer all of our users fron our server instead of having to go to each machine to make adjustments and changes.
Hope there might be an answer for this in the future but for now I will stick with MLK on each client machine. |
