Posted - Apr 15 2010 : 18:19:38 When ML checks new with Outlook i am getting this error message and saying yes to this and subsequent messages does not resolve it
"An error was encountered connecting to Outlook (Invalid class string, ProgID: "Outlook.Application")"
Anyone else experience this, I am using Windows 7 Cheers Mark |

Posted - Oct 12 2022 : 02:15:02 To do this, follow these steps: Open the Control Panel. Click Programs and Features. Locate the entry for your Microsoft Office installation and select it. Click Change. Select Repair from the resulting window. Click Continue. Allow the repair to complete. Reboot your computer.

Yes, we have seen this issue with Outlook 2003 before where it fails to create the base class Outlook.Application.
Unfortunately the Fix Utility does not have sufficient rights to modify the registry.
Try copying it to your desktop, then right-click it and select "Run as Administrator"

This means that Outlook's classes are not registered correctly with Windows.
Please run our Class Check Utility and let me know what results you get:
