Posted - Feb 28 2010 : 17:15:29 I would like to send about 72,000 emails per day.
I have a list consisting of 16,000 email address that i want to mail to 4 times a day ... hence the 72,000 per day.
1) Assuming my relay limit is 5,000 per day what is the best way to configure MLK to send these mails?
2) Assuming my relay limit is 1,000 per day what is the best way to configure MLK to send these mails?
3) Would it be better for me to use MLK SMTP?
4) How long do you think it will take for me to send each message ... i.e. to send one message to the list of 16,000 email address? |

The 5000 limit is going to be a problem for your sending requirements.
MLK includes its own mail server which allows you to send your messages without using the mail server of your ISP. This would allow you to avoid their 5000 limit.
However some mail servers will block messages that they recognize as originating from a local mail server (such as MLK's SMTP server). So to reach all your recipients you would need to use one of the automatic options that sends all failed messages via normal SMTP on the last attempt.
Alternatively you could use a third party mail service such as www.authsmtp.com or TZO.com

By "Relay limit" do you mean that your ISP limits you to sending to only 5,000 recipients per day?
