In MLK version 6.03 I am able to import names such as "Mr. John Doe, CA" from an Excel file into the LastName field so it displays that way in the sent message across from the TO: field. I tried using FULLNAME but that gave me "CA Mr. John Doe". I'm testing MLK 7.30 and find that the name is always appearing as "CA John Doe" whether I use FULLNAME or LASTNAME. I suspect that the "," is causing the problem. Is there anything I can do about it? We want the addressee name to be complete and formal "Mr. John Doe, CA" .

For v7.32 we've made MLK much more conservative about reformatting full names if we are confident of the source (such as importing, as opposed to extracting from emails).

Hi Nigel,
When I do that, the delivered message has To: jdoe@mycompany.ca instead of To: Mr. John Doe, CA which is what I really want (and am used to having in version 6.03). I am unable to select the custom name field to the addressee as it seems to puck up either full name or last name automatically. Am I stuck with this if I update. I really love your software otherwise and recommend it to anyone who asks.

I'll look at supporting these format names for a coming update.
Sharon, you might want to put these names into a custom field, such as "FormatName" so they import without modification.

Hi Nigel,
Yes, that's what it means. It's the same as addressing someone as Mr. John Doe, Phd. It's just that it used to work if I imported the whole name as LastName and now it doesn't.

Does CA mean "Chartered Accountant"?
Is this an official naming convention? I have not seen it used elsewhere. Do you have any documentation outlining such usage.
