I have spent hours searching for the autoscan on startup option which was in previous versions of MLK. this made the software scan for unsubscribes on startup.

Now I have to remember to do it, and I don't then I may well send out a mailshot without paying heed to unsubscribes that have arrived since the last mailshot.

As this is now an 'unrecommended' hidden setting in settings.ini, it is a real pity there is no warning message when sending a message that notices whether or not a recent 'scan' has been performed.

Not very user friendly - and even very risky to take out this option?

Hi Barry

That is why we have .01, .02, etc versions to tweak the big changes introduced in upgrades

Use View>Options, Incoming, "Automatically check for new messages"

HI Nigel

Really appreciating your creative and useful responses to my discoveries today... I have been meaning to say some of these for a few weeks, and they have built up on a list...

Don't want to cast a dark shadow on what is a very good product, but some of the issues raised today really do hinder work flow.

I can't find where automatic message checking is an option?

Can you let me know?

thankts

I believe it is a superfluous option. If you have enabled automatic message checking, then MLK will automatically check for messages on start up. If you do not use automatic message checking, then it would not make sense for it to automatically check on start up.
