Hey guys,

I migrated 6.28 MLK from XP to another computer with Vista, per the migration instructions in the help file. Everything works fine (yay!), EXCEPT I lost the menu buttons in my Outlook 2003.

I uninstalled and reinstalled MLK to no effect. I then uninstalled/reinstalled Outlook. Same difference.

MLK will carry out all commands in Outlook with the "Check For New" button within MLK.

It's not anywhere in the Toolbar options.

I've checked through the Outlook Com Addins and tried to use the AddIn manager, but it wouldn't find MLK--it's not on the list, which I don't understand because the .ECF file is listed. When selecting it, it doesn't go to the list.

I tried to make sure the MLKOtbr.dll was in the addin directory, and selected it, but nothing happens. Ideas?

Boyd

Outlook or something else must be interfering with MLK's toolbar. I can't really suggest more than has been offered above, because i haven't seen a situation where at least one of the mentioned steps have not resolved the problem.

Is there anything more/new on this? I still haven't been able to resolve this issue.

I tried it with MLK open/closed, Outlook open/closed. Each time, after clicking on OK, the hourglass showed up for about half a second, and then nothing.

Hi Boyd

Try selecting WinKey+R and enter the following in the run box:

regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\MailList King\MLKOTbr.DLL"

Click OK.

What message do you get?

Any toolbar showing if you restart Outlook?

Yo Justus,

I appreciate that, but that's not the case in this case. I've only got one instance open.

I'm just gonna toss it out there, but..

if you have MLK set to go to the system tray(little icons at the bottom right of the screen), make sure there are no other instances of MLK running. I have found that if there is one in the sys tray and you have another one open, edit the settings, close it, then open it again, it does not save. This is probably due to the conflict in the two or more being open.

Just something else to check.

OK, did that. Still not showing up. So I rechecked MLK and found that the setting is being RESET back to No Toolbar. I tried changing it several times, closing the Options, then reopening. Each time, MLK had reset it back to No Toolbar. I've closed and reopened both MLK and Outlook a few times, too, but nothing changes.

Hi Boyd

Try turning off the toolbar option under View>Options, Other, Advanced, then closing MLK and Outlook.

Restart MLK and turn on the toolbar option again.

If it still does not display try selecting Help>About in Outlook. Click the Disabled Items button and check that the Toolbar is not listed there.
