Hi,

At the moment it seems that it is not possible to sort by custom fields/columns.

I have added certain custom fields but cant sort it because there are only limited columns that you can sort things by.

It will be quite useful to have that ability.

Any news about the next release and any cool features we can expect;).

Thank you

Hi Adrian

This is not possible due to the way we designed the database (in order to keep it efficient).

Is there any update on this?
It would be very helpful to be able to sort on custom fields.

I have a Text Only custom field for people who have opted to receive the text only version of my newsletter and it would be helpful to be able to sort on that field.

It would also be useful if MLK had a standard feature to recognise subscribers who wanted emails in text-only format.

Thanks
Adrian

Hi

If you are caching the entire database in memory then you can sort by any field (excluding custom ones).

However if your database is large it is not practical to cache the whole database and thus you will be limited to those fields that have a database index. Thus to imcrease the sortable fields you would need to add more database indexes which would then make your database larger.

We're working on an MLK update now, but it won't be ready until around August. We're anticipating some cool new features, but I can't make them public yet ;-)
