Posted - Apr 17 2007 : 11:54:56 Hi There,
I take subscriptions for one of my mailing lists on-line. People fill out a form and an email is generated and sent to my mailing list email account. MailKing then processes it. However, I do not know how to assign the group I would like them associated with. Is there a way to put content in the email or subject-line when I generate the email such that they will automatically be subscribed to a specific group rather than default?
Thanks for the help if anyone knows a way. |

Did someone create the PHP script for you?
Ask them to modify it so that it either sends you a message with the subject:
SUBSCRIBE an.email.address@xyz.com Group_Name
or
Use a standard web form processing script (which would return a message with a body like:
EMAIL: an.email.address@xyz.com GROUP: Group_Name ACTION: Subscribe )
If a group name is not specified MLK will use the default group from View>Options, Groups.

Can you please give us a link to the subscribe page on your web site.
Also, paste the body of an example message that is generated by that subscribe form.
