Posted - Mar 23 2007 : 06:45:08 Dear All latterly we're encountering a problem concerning the character set used in MailList King: so called German "umlaut" and other special characters like German [ö], [ü] and [ß] are changed to others non readable.
We're using EXCHANGE Server 2003 on a Windows 2000 Server based system with MailList King Ver. 6.26r.
Any ideas?

I assume if you review the messages that were sent to you (for forwarding by MLK) they are encoded correctly?
Under View>Options, Sending, is the second sending method set to Outlook or something else?

Posted - Mar 26 2007 : 02:09:31 Thanks Nigel for your quick answer,
but I´m not quite sure about your questions. The messages are posted to our lists by various project partners, presumably using divergent email Software. Personally we're using Outlook 2003 to create our messages. Where would I find those Encoding Settings that you've mentioned?
Cheers Oliver

Are you setting the encoding when creating your message (under the Advanced Editing pop down on the Message Sending toolbar).?
What sending method have you specified under View>Options, Sending?
