Posted - Jan 01 2007 : 02:55:31 Is there a way of importing changes to records from Outlook, as opposed to deleting, say, a group, and starting over?
I'd hate to lose the history info, but I would really like to add the category info in Outlook to use for running filters within MLK.
I guess I'm asking if there is a way to update records via importing. If not, I vote for it. |

The ~2500 member mailing list that I maintain lives first and foremost in the form of Outlook contacts where additional information is maintained.
How do others deal with bounced messages on the Outlook side and changes to names and e-mail address on the MLK side?

Please see my other response. The feature has been pushed back in favour of other items in the last few releases, hopefully it is not too far off.

Posted - May 01 2008 : 22:46:59 Hi, did this outlook synchronization function get done? im also looking for this option, it would make the application much more useful to outlook users, and there are a lot of them out there
It would be especially useful if it could: - Automatically sync so that contacts added to a catagory in outlook were added to the maillist group and or campaign. - The option to also sync the other way. ie new subscribers in a mailist group can be added as new contacts in an outlook catagory.
im struggling to use maillist king with out these function because ill be needing to constantly run contact imports.
The only app ive found to do this so far is salesforce.com professional eddition but they want to about £1500 for one user licence
I'm trying to come up with a method to do this using 2 other applications to manipulate the mailist contact database. Has anyone else had a go at this?
Many thanks Eugene

There is not a synchronization function, though it is on the to-do list.
However you can re-import the entries and if the addresses are already in the mailing list MLK will just update the contact with the changed information.
