I understand that Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency, but I’ve read that Monero is gaining attention for its privacy features. Can someone explain how Monero achieves such a high level of privacy and how it differs from Bitcoin in mining and transaction processes?

Moreover, Monero’s privacy tools create a truly anonymous network, which is why it’s favored by users who prioritize confidentiality. Its accessibility through basic mining hardware further democratizes its ecosystem. In contrast, Bitcoin has become more centralized, as mining requires substantial investment in specialized rigs. While Monero’s focus on privacy can complicate regulatory acceptance, its utility for protecting personal financial information makes it a standout option in today’s crypto landscape.

We can see here https://www.geekextreme.com/how-is-monero-different-from-bitcoin/ that Monero’s privacy features are a result of advanced cryptography. Tools like ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential transactions hide all transaction details. No one can see who sent or received funds or the transaction amount. By comparison, Bitcoin transactions are completely transparent on the blockchain. Monero also uses the RandomX mining algorithm, enabling anyone with a standard computer to mine, unlike Bitcoin’s ASIC-intensive mining process.
