We currently have our MLK installation and DB on the same PC. Over this past year of use we have seen the DB grow quite significantly and would like to move it to a shared drive on our network.
We would still want to use MLK from the same PC we always have done. What are the steps involved in shifting the database elsewhere and remapping our MLK installation to use it from its new location?
Thanks,

Matt

This worked very well.

Hi Matt

1. Run MailList King and open the database
2. Select View > Options, Other and check the box "Use different settings for each mailing list database"
3. Click OK
4. Click Ctrl+Shift+I (in the main window), choose the database option and click OK
5. When the database folder open close MLK
6. In the explorer window showing your database, go to the parent folder, select the MLK database folder and click Ctrl+X (cut)
7. Browse to the destination folder on your network and click Ctrl+V (paste)
8. Run MLK again and you will be prompted for your database location. Select it and click OK

Also, if you are going to share the database you should store it on a good network drive (e.g. windows server), rather than a NAS device (which often have simplistic file sharing).
