Posted - Feb 03 2011 : 16:50:50 I have just spent over two hours putting titles in a very long project, on one of the video clips it started converting and it had already been done,I tried to stop it, then it all went pale and would not shut down, eventually I closed the programme, when I got it back every title has gone, as it happens I have Picasa, they were there, so I tried to export them back to Pixplay through My Pics, the titles would not export.
Now I have to start again, why did they disappear and why is there nothing to retrieve these in the programme
Also before the above , I had put various titles in and then decided to put in date order, all the titles went to the foot of the page, and I had to reput them in the right places, why did it do this, and this was before I lost the titles completely.,
Any help would greatly oblige as it is very disappointing having spent a long time making super titles to have to start all over again,
thanks Val |

Posted - Nov 14 2024 : 05:45:53 Dear Val,
I'm sorry to hear about the frustrating experience with your project. It sounds like there may have been a glitch or an issue with saving in Pixplay that caused your titles to disappear and prevented retrieval. The problem with reordering titles may stem from how Pixplay handles metadata or project files. Unfortunately, if the software lacks an autosave or backup function, lost edits might not be recoverable. To prevent future data loss, consider saving periodically or making manual backups of your project. Double-check Picasa's export settings to ensure compatibility with Pixplay https://ibommatelugum.com.I hope this helps, and best of luck!
Kind regards, mazseo

Posted - Feb 04 2011 : 12:14:12 Hi Val
Unfortunately if the software crashes then you will lose all of your progress since the last save (In that situation where the screen goes blank during a conversion, it is probably just waiting for a response from the converter, so you should wait for a while to see if it recovers).
Please try to click File > Save occasionally to avoid this (e.g. before adding videos).
However all of your titles you created will still exist in your project folder. Using Windows Explorer select My Documents, DVD PixPlay Projects and open the folder with the name of your project. Select all of the DPG files in that folder and drag them and drop them onto the main DVD PixPlay window.

Posted - Feb 04 2011 : 05:09:06 Hi Val99..Recently I was unable to open 40 files which contained projects dating back to 2002. Eventually I used Windows Explorer and found that my projects were filed in two locations on my PC. The location with 40 files only displayed folder icons in front of the names. Pixplay could not locate or open these files. At the second location which contained 150 project files (all of my projects since 2002) there were folder icons in front of the names, but in addition, at the bottom of the list of 150 folders was a list of 150 files with the pixplay icon in front of the name. All of these files could be located and opened by Pixplay. My solution is that when I build a project for burning I am carefull to specify the exact location -e.g. C:\DVD Pixplay Files\Pixplay - where I want to store the new files. Why the program stored "duplicate" folders of 40 out of 150 projects in the other location is a bit of a puzzel. Also I was unable to "edit" the 40 files as they were saved with a different file extension not .pxp as the active file have. Hope this helps. |

Posted - Feb 04 2011 : 04:11:26 ps to above, after a long time I found them in temp files, and now do not know what I did, but pixplay page came up and saved them and now back in, but very very frustrating.
Is there any way when mistakes are made to go back to where you were, ie in the computer, you click edit, then undo, and it is undone, I cannot find anything in Pixplay with this. Thanks Val
