We have just released v6.10 which add support for MOV, FLV and MP4 formats. As you add them to a project DVD PixPlay will automatically convert them to a compatible format.

You can download v6.10 from:

http://www.xequte.com/pixplay/download.html

And you will also require the Users Plug-In from:

http://www.xequte.com/pixplay/plugins.html

MJPEG and other "Difficult" formats

There are some formats that do not preview well in DVD PixPlay because Windows does not include suitable drivers (most common is MJPEG which invariably raises the error "Cannot find vids:mjpg decompressor").

V6.10 also makes it easier to preview these files by converting them to a more compatible format:

1. Right click any video file that does not preview correctly
2. Select "Convert Video File"

Upgrade Information

V6.10 is a free upgrade to all registered v6.* users. Install v6.10 over your current version (without uninstalling first). You will not need to enter your serial number.

If you need to upgrade from an earlier version please visit:

Nigel, I open my project, then click on add photos, then go to my folder with the Quicktime videos and click on one of them. It goes through a conversion process and then comes up with an error message saying program only supports regular avi files. I have also converted the clips into wmv files which do upload into the project but when I went to create a DVD I got an error message saying unable to read avi file. Thanks for your help.

Hi

What are the exact steps you are taking to add the videos to PixPlay?

Nigel,
I have version 6.10 DVD PixPlay and my Nikon camera makes movies in Quicktime. I cannot seem to add any of the movie clips to my slideshow. I typically get the error of file not support. Help!
