Posted - Mar 05 2010 : 12:54:17 I am making slide shows using .jpg. I have as many as 200 sldes in a slide show. I would like to have specific music for 10 +/- slides and then change to other music for the next 10 +/- slides until the end of the show. I cannot find anything in the help that tells me how to do this!
Can you help?
Thanks!

Is that possible without changing the length of "A" and "B"? Simple answer---NO
Most people want to sync the slides to a certain piece of music but you do not care if the music plays for the entire song so the best thing to do is edit the music file with a program like AUDACITY(which is free)to the length you want the slides to show.

Sorry I'm not following you. Are you saying don't want to change the time of the slides and you don't want to change the audio?

Posted - Mar 05 2010 : 15:40:28 It appears that if I do it the way you suggest that if music "A" is five minutes, slides 1-3 will be extended and require five minutes to be shown. Likewise, if music "B" is 10 minutes, it will require 10 minutes to show slides 4-6.
I would like to be able to have Music "A" play during slides 1-3 without their show time being extended - the same with music "B".
Is that possible without changing the length of "A" and "B"?

How can I easily time certain frames with my background music? Firstly, if you simply want to automatically stretch the slideshow display to match the length of the background music use the "Automatically stretch the slideshow to background music" option. However if you need much more control over your timing you can use the "Sync to Frame" function.
Let's say you have two songs named "Song_A" and "Song_B" and six frames named "Photo_1" to "Photo_6". You want each song to play for three frames.
1. Go into Edit > Slideshow Properties, Background Music tab. 2. Select Song_A and click "Sync to Frame" 3. Choose "Photo_3" and click OK » Song_A will now play while Photo_1, Photo_2 and Photo_3 are showing
4. Select Song_B and click "Sync to Frame" 5. Choose "Photo_6" as the "Sync to Frame" 6. Specify "Photo_4" as "Don't stretch frames prior to" (so the display times up to Photo_3 are not changed) 7. Click OK » Song_B will now play while Photo_4, Photo_5 and Photo_6 are showing Hope this answers your question ! ! !
