Hello,
I have made several slideshows with video clips successfully in the past. However, I have run across something new for me.
I want to add a video clip taken with my daughter's camera. I took her media card, and copied her pics and vid clips to my computer. Her vid clips are in a Quick time movie format. I have that video clip in a folder in MY Pictures, which I can click on and view it with no problem. However, when I try to add images to my slideshow, that video clip does not show up. I even put it in a folder all by itself, tried to add it to the rest of the slideshow, and it says "folder has no images".
And then I went to the properties, changed it to open with Windows Media player, didn't work. Then I selected Pixplay to open the file....and that sends me to the slideshow I am trying to add it to, but still does not show up in the row of images.
Is there any way to convert that video clip so that it will play like all the rest of my video clips do, and be able to add it to my slideshow?
Thanks!

Nigel,
I tried the first free option at media-convert before I asked in this forum, and when it was finished, it told me Windows couldn't open it because it was a corrupted file.
I also tried Zamzar, I got the email back that the conversion failed. I looked at the Video help website, and it was quite confusing to me. Which option do you choose when you want to convert the file type that I want to? So many choices???

Hi

Quick Time (MOV) videos are proprietary format which Windows does not have drivers for. You will need to convert it to a video format supported by DVD PixPlay, such as MPEG or AVI.

You can convert your files online (for free) at:

http://media-convert.com/ (50MB Limit)
http://www.zamzar.com/ (100MB Limit)

Or you can download free conversion software from www.Videohelp.com
