Posted - Sep 05 2008 : 22:46:40 using V 4.01 I have 8 slideshows I am burning to DVD. I added buttons for slideshow 7&8, and also one to play all. Also, used start of DVD chapters. I got the menu working well, returning to the menu after playing the slideshows. The < > on the DVD remote is working like is should. My question is when I am at the menu & want to select a certain slideshow, the button style underline does not move when you use the up&down arrows on the remote. I am blindly clicking the remote arrows. When I click enter, then the button color when highlighted marks a slideshow & opens it. Is there a way I can see the underline move when selecting a slideshow? Judy

Thanks for the update. I'm not sure what might be different about the PixPlay created disk that is causing a compatibility issues for your Toshiba.

Posted - Nov 15 2008 : 21:28:19 UPDATE: I had the various copies of my sample DVD's viewed on different DVD players. All of these DVD players could view the highlighted Icon, and the highlighted Icon did move to other selected slideshows on the DVD menu when the up & down arrows on the DVD remote was clicked, just as it should. Conclusion, the problem is with my Toshiba DVD player. I do not know why it happens. My archived DVD's play fine, & I am using the same Media. No reply is necessary. Hope this post has been helpful. Thanks.

Posted - Sep 12 2008 : 06:40:51 When watching other DVD's on my DVD player, the Menus do behave as I expect them to. I can 'see' the titles highlight when the up/down arrow is clicked, and a different highlight color when enter is clicked. Judy

Posted - Sep 10 2008 : 14:27:22 Hi Nigel, I tried creating 3 new multiple slideshows again. 1st one was with 6 slideshows, using one of the pre-made menus; the highlighted Icon was a triangle to the left of the slideshow. The 2nd burn was with 3 slideshows, using a pre-made menu; with the highlighted Icon as a underline & was visable under the 1st slideshow. 3rd burn was with all 8 slideshows, with an added button to play all slideshows. This one I started over from scratch. The highlighted Icon was under the 1st line on the menu-to play all slideshows. The highlighted Icon didnot move on any of my tests when the up/down arrow on the remote was clicked-just as before. The highlighted Icon would move when the mouse curser goes over the slideshow, during my test on the computer for all 3 tests-just as before. The menu works fine otherwise. Judy |

It sounds like it is working correctly on your computer but not on your DVD player.
If you create a disk with only six slideshows, and use the prebuilt menus rather than use the customize options, do you still have the same problem?

Posted - Sep 08 2008 : 14:23:18 Hi Nigel, When I play the DVD in my computer, I have 1 color highlighted line in my menu. This line will move when I run my curser over the line. When I click a title/slideshow, then the other color when clicked will be highlighted, and open the slideshow. I have been playing around with different menu settings & colors & burned a few DVD's and no change. The DVD menu will only show 1 colored line. It is always associated with the 1st title. This line/highlight never moves. When I move my up/down arrows on my DVD remote the highlighted line stays put. I count the number of clicks on the remote arrows (2 clicks will move down to 2nd slideshow), hit enter, and the other color when clicked highlights the 2nd slideshow & opens. Is this colored highlight suppose to move when the up/down arrows are clicked? Thank you. Judy

If you view the slideshow disk on your computer do the highlights appear there?
Try going into the Customize Menu dialog, right-click a button and choose "DVD Button Style". Experiment with different menu colors and types.
