At present i am using a slideshow software which is very similar to pixplay What I am unable to do at the moment is at certain stages of the slideshow is show 3 or 4 pics in quick succesion without transitions. Having downloaded the sample I am not sure if this is possible. Can anyone advise

You select the transitions for any picture you want this way.

So if there are 3 pictures you want with no transition you go to those and select "TRANSITIONS"--NONE on each picture. Or you can do more than one at a time by pressing the CONTROL KEY AND CLICKING THE MOUSE.

I understand that but I don't want any transitions between say 3 or 4 at certain stages during a standard slide show.

Yes you can do that in DVD PIXPLAY. Just do the following:

1) On the main Toolbar select the PROJECT and FRAME you want

2) On the far right side you will see the FRAME---BELOW THE PICTURE YOU SELECT "TRANSITIONS" ---FROM THE DROP DOWN BOX CLICK ON NONE

3) GO TO "DISPLAY TIME" BELOW THE PICTURE AND SELECT THE TIME FROM THE BOX ON THE RIGHT

4) GO TO THE NEXT PICTURE YOU WANT AND DO THE STEPS AGAIN
