Is it possible to add music to a certain segment of the show and have that segment strech to fit that backgroung music. For example, I wish to have one segment of say 25 pictures with a particular piece of music, then the next group pictures have a different piece of music, and so on. I don't know to get Pixplay to strech the music to fit each segment.

Hi Jim

You are a bit too quick for us We're uploading as we speak.

v4.05 is a fairly major update so we skipped 4.03 and 4.04.

FYI in v4.05 we have added an "Align to Frames" function will make this process much simpler.

Let's say you have Song_A and Song_B and frames Photo_1 to Photo_6. You want each song to play for three frames.

1. Go into Edit > Slideshow Properties, Background Music tab.
2. Select Song_A and click "Align to Frames"
3. Choose "Photo_3" and click OK
> Song_A will now play while Photo_1, Photo_2 and Photo_3 are showing

4. Select Song_B and click "Align to Frames"
5. Choose "Photo_6" as the "Align to Frame"
6. Specify "Photo_4" as "Don't stretch frames prior to" (so the display times up to Photo_3 are not changed)
7. Click OK
> Song_B will now play while Photo_4, Photo_5 and Photo_6 are showing

As mentioned sound tracks can be idited to any length by third party software - Audacity or NCH WavePad[Both free download.]
Because once a sound track is loaded into PixPlay it is 'Fixed' the best way to handle this is to decide the total length of the show
couple togther the sounds to that length, load your images and order them then manipulate images or groups of images dwell times to fit the tunes.

HANDYANDY60

There is no simple way to add music to match certain segments the best thing to do is use a free sound editor, such as MP3Trim or WavePad, to cut the length of your music track to match the length of your slideshow. These are free programs just do a Google search for them.

I don't know if PixPlay can do that or not, but it would be a great enhancement if it was possible. I could and would certainly use that feature. I normally play with the times until I get it the way I want.
