Posted - Sep 18 2007 : 16:06:00 If you are adding text to image using the "Frame Captions" option (Edit > Slideshow Properties, Frame Captions) then there is a Shadow and Border option.
Presently there is not an option for this when adding text (Edit > Add Text), though you could overlay two text objects onto each other (i.e. shadow text first, then over it and slightly up and to the left the text).
We'll add a shadow option to a coming update.
