The Smart Pix Manager application provides support for a very long list of file types. This means you can use the application to open a large variety of image files, video files, sound files, and more. Use this application to view all your multimedia content, such as JPEG images, MP4 videos, WAV audio tracks. Use it to view documents as well; it supports Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other file types.
3.7MB is the size of the Smart Pix Manager installation file. It’s quite lightweight, so it won’t take long for the download to complete. During the installation process, the setup wizard will ask you to pick the installation directory and select if you want a Smart Pix Manager desktop shortcut. Once the installation completes (you can install Smart Pix Manager on anything from Windows 98 up to Windows 7), you will be presented with a “Welcome to Smart Pix Manager” wizard that will help you create a searchable collection of images and other multimedia files. When you launch Smart Pix Manager you will be presented with another wizard; you will be presented with a second “Welcome to Smart Pix Manager” window that shows you the key steps for getting started with the application and presents a summary of the application’s features.
The interface is as simple as they come – and that is a good thing, especially for novices. To the left there’s a pane that lets you browse your drives and locate the images/videos/other files you want to view. Select a folder with supported files inside, and they will be presented in another pane down in the bottom left hand corner. Click an individual file and it will be displayed in the large pane to the right. Select a video, and it will be played in said pane. Select an image, and it will be displayed there.
Speaking about image files, Smart Pix Manager provides support for a long list of file formats. Here are some of the supported formats: JPEG, BMP, PSP, GIF, PNG, XCF, PPM, and more. You can use Smart Pix Manager to view pretty much any type of image file you can think of. You can also edit images with the Smart Pix Manager application, or you can associate an image editor and open an image in that editor from within Smart Pix Manager.
On top of image files, Smart Pix Manager provides support for video files, sound files, document files, and other files. Use the application to view images, to listen to music, to view videos, to open Word documents, and to open PDF files. Add keywords and descriptions to all your files, sort them into libraries, encrypt and password protect the library, view a slideshow of your images, build an image index and slideshow for a webpage, you can do all these things with the Smart Pix Manager application.
