  • Removing yourself from this List

Dear Xequte Software User,

We recently surpassed 13,000 messages on our discussion forums, of which 5000 are my own responses, making around 8000 user queries and feedback.  It may seem a lot, but actually we receive more support emails than this every year.

Support forums are beneficial because every response on the forum can be located by other users with the same problem, thus giving us more time to do what we love, developing great software!

But the forum is good for you too :-)

-       We spend more time on each forum response than email because it benefits many users

-       Our responses are often augmented by others users providing their own solutions

-       We respond much quicker to forum queries

So your challenge for today is to visit our forum and tell us your number one software gripe:

* Program Tips

- DVD PixPlay: Automatic Rotation of your Photos

A powerful productivity feature that DVD PixPlay offers is the automatic rotation of photos from your digital camera.  You need not rotate your photos to the correct orientation before adding them to your project because PixPlay reads the correct orientation of each of your photos using information that the camera stores in the photo.  The option pops up automatically after the addition of photos if orientation data is found.

Note: Unfortunately orientation data is only saved by some (generally more expensive) digital cameras.

- MailList King: "ISP Limits" Power Tools

These days an increasingly important feature of MailList King is the ability to “throttle down” your sending to stay in compliance with the limits imposed by your ISP (configure it under View > Options, Sending, Other Sending Options).

If you use this feature you may benefit from these tips:

-       You can quickly display the ISP Limits dialog by right-clicking the “Message Center” item (on the right of the main window)

-       To send a task in the Outbox ignoring your ISP limits, select it and click Ctrl+Shift+S

-       To see the details of the current sending status (next sending, limit used, etc) go to the Outbox and hover the cursor over the right of the status bar

- Smart Pix Manager: Using Viewing History to Find your Favorite Files

One of the details that Smart Pix maintains about the files in your media library is viewing history, i.e. the number of times and the last date that you viewed each of your images.

This has a number of uses:

-       Find your favorite files by displaying and sorting by the “Viewed Count” column

-       Display images you are yet to view by clicking the Filter button and hiding all those you have viewed

-       Avoid listening to the same music files too often by using the Filter and hiding all those that you have recently listed to

- Text Lightning: Instant Archiving of the Current Message

After replying to a message in Outlook do you inevitably hunt under the recent move message list for your usual archive folder.  Why waste your time like this when with Text Lightning you can click "Quick Move" to instantly send it to your archive folder.  You can enable this by displaying Options, choosing the Toolbar tab and specifying your "Quick Move" folder.
